As with most beginnings, our company was founded with the idea of doing something everyone else is doing – only better.  In 1985 SCHONSHECK, INC. was formed based on the principals of providing clients with exceptional quality, value and service.  From that humble beginning, we have grown into one of the prominent construction companies in Southeast Michigan.

In 1999, ownership of Schonsheck, Inc. was transferred to the employees through an ESOP.  With this change, internal promotions formed a new management team to guide the day-to-day operations of the company, and Ian Schonsheck became C.E.O. 

Over the next two years, Schonsheck, Inc. had record-breaking sales.  When the industry wide slowdown came in 2001, we pursued new markets and were rewarded with many new clients in Healthcare, Retail, Professional Offices, Education, Municipalities, Self-Storage, Warehouse, and R & D.

Our own expanding needs have seen us through construction of two new offices. We know what it’s like to be planning for company growth and undertaking construction of a new building to accommodate everything you need and most of the things you want. Our move to a new Wixom location in December of 2009 gave us another opportunity to use our talented team to reconfigure and update an existing building to suit our needs and see us into the future.

Today Schonsheck, Inc. remains a strong and profitable company with a promising future.  We have proven longevity and a reputation rich with honesty and integrity, all while continuing to deliver on the basic principles that founded the business: exceptional quality, value and service.
